Hi, I’m Lindsay. I’m a Personal Stylist and Image Consultant and I started the site as a way to share my fashion and lifestyle tips with other busy women. My goal is to provide readers with information that they can actually use and easily incorporate into their own lives.
I began my fashion career as part of the styling team for the TLC makeover show, “What Not to Wear,” and this experience showed me just how impactful something as simple as a makeover can be on an individual and their confidence levels. After some time as a freelance stylist, I enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and found a way to combine everything I had learned in the field and in the classroom. I became a Certified Image Consultant and after I graduated, started my own company, Style Me NY. I later began Style Me DC, in my hometown, and in both cities I worked with private clients, teaching them how to dress and helping solve all of their fashion dilemmas.
In 2014, I decided that it was my business that deserved the makeover and I started working on what would become ‘A Lucy Life.’ I wanted to create a practical resource for women that took a realistic approach to life, while still incorporating all things cool, fun and quirky. Immediately, one of my ALL-TIME favorite characters came to mind, and how she dealt with life’s “road bumps,” and that was when ‘A Lucy Life’ was born.
